Wheelchair Controllers

Not all users of electric wheelchairs are able to use their wheelchairs with regular control systems. For this reason, we offer an extensive range of options, from a straightforward modified joystick to a fully integrated wheelchair environment control system. The various controllers can be used to optimally modify the wheelchair to the abilities and needs of each individual, ensuring perfect ease of operation for everyone.

Primary controllers

Primary controllers are the minimum required to operate a wheelchair.

Secondary controllers

Secondary controllers are systems that can be used in combination with a primary controller to make using one's wheelchair easier. We can sub-divide these systems into proportional and non-proportional systems.

Proportional systems
Proportional control can be used to make the wheelchair go slower with a small deflection of the joystick and faster with a large deflection. Moreover, small steering corrections can be effected quickly using these systems.

Non-proportional systems
These switch systems can in fact only be turned on and off. This means they are not sensitive to small corrections. However, the programming unit can be used to alter the wheelchair's drive characteristics efficiently.
